This funeral home was originally built in 1914 as George H. Burman’s family home. In the late 1930s, areas were added for funeral services and visitations. Mary and Glenn Robinson of Robinson-Walker Funeral Home in Oak Harbor purchased the funeral home in 1963, and Keith Walker acquired it in 2004. This sophisticated building, located in historic downtown Genoa, features a large lounge and contemporary décor.

Delaney Hayes

Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer

Delaney Hayes joined the Walker Funeral Homes team in January 2024, and obtained her license as a funeral director and embalmer in February of 2025. She graduated from Oak Harbor High School in 2021. She earned an Associate degree of Individualized Study – Mortuary Science from Terra State Community College in 2022. Then, she went on to graduate summa cum laude from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 2023, where she received her bachelor’s degree. In her free time, Delaney enjoys spending time with her friends, trying new restaurants, and being outdoors on a nice day. She resides in Oak Harbor with her dog, Chesney.

Jason Fletcher

Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer

Jason has proudly served the local community as a licensed embalmer and funeral director since 2009. Raised in Elmore, he graduated from Woodmore High School in 2002 before earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Human Resources from Otterbein College in 2006. He continued his education at the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, graduating with a Bachelor of Mortuary Science in 2007. While in Cincinnati, Jason worked closely with Donald and Beverly Good at Elden A. Good Funeral Home in Cincinnati’s Hyde Park neighborhood, where he completed his apprenticeship—and where Donald and Beverly have since become a second family to him.

Jason married Kimberly (Padley) in 2015, and together are the proud parents of their lively and loving daughter, Eliana. The Fletcher family are active members of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Toledo, where Kimberly shares her talents as a music minister, Jason tends the flower gardens, and Eliana enjoys Sunday School and singing in church. The family also volunteers with the church’s neighborhood outreach ministry.

Professionally, Jason serves as the executive director of the Funeral Directors Association of Northwest Ohio and is a member of both the Ohio Funeral Directors Association and the Ohio Embalmers Association. He treasures the friendships he has made with funeral professionals across the country.

Outside of work, Jason enjoys woodworking, vegetable gardening, spending time in his yard, washing his car, sailing on Lake Erie with his dad, and cheering on the University of Toledo Rockets and Ohio State Buckeyes.

Beth Miller

Apprentice Funeral Director

Beth A. Miller, originally from Toledo, OH and now residing in Genoa, holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Toledo and a PharmD from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. A retired professional football player, she joined Walker in 2020 assisting with cremations and has built careers centered on service. Beth is a proud aunt to five, avid sports fan, Broadway musical enthusiast, and fan of Weird Al.

Jennifer Waldron

Advanced Funeral Planning Team Leader

Jennifer has been an Advanced Funeral Planning Advisor for over 20 years. She has helped thousands of families create meaningful and memorable funeral services. She has been recognized numerous times by various insurance companies as a leader in the Pre-Need Insurance Industry. More recently, Jennifer was promoted to Pre-Need Team Manager at Walker Funeral Homes.

In her free time, Jennifer loves to spend time with her husband, Corey. They enjoy spending time with family, friends, and their two Golden Retrievers, Sunny and Buster. They enjoy the outdoors, kayaking, and Michigan football.

Carrie Greer

Office Manager - Ottawa County / Admin Team Leader

Carrie Greer joined the Walker team in December of 2019 as the office manager of the Genoa and Oak Harbor locations. She was born and raised in Fremont and a 2000 graduate of Lakota High School. Currently, Carrie resides in Elmore with her son, Ethan and their dog, Maximus. In her spare time, she enjoys their summers at Cedar Point, watching the University of Michigan and Pittsburgh Steelers football games and taking naps.
