Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jenny and all of Bro. Scotty's family and friends. He preached the revival when I received the Holy Ghost back in Feb., 1963, at Bro. M. M. Hudson's church in Ypsilanti, Mi. We were privileged to hear him other times through those early years and were touched, encouraged, and enlightened. He has fought the good fight and always helped others do the same. God Bless you, Bro. Scotty.
Phil Cornell left a message on December 20, 2018:
So sorry to learn this. Scotty was one of the most interesting persons I have met. The first time I saw was when he was a young evangelist preaching at a youth rally in mid Michigan. Sometime later (but still several decades ago when we were almost young) he was kind enough to escort me throughout the city of New York on the subway and showed me the ropes of local behavior ( including how to use the mass transportation system) as well as the many sights. I enjoyed the many stories of his life from South America to New York City that he told me. Although we did not meet often in our lives I have fond memories of him. My deepest condolences to Jenny and the family.

Marsha Smithhisler left a message on December 19, 2018:
I will forever be grateful for the instruction and counsel of my first Pastor, Without his wise guidance I might have quickly fallen by the wayside, as so many others have done. When some people looked at me and saw an alley-cat hippy, he looked at me with the eyes of Agape love, and taught me how to search God's Word and internalize it. He taught me to "mind the checks" and when to "let the Spirit move." Men of God like this are fewer and hard to find. Thank you, Sis. Teets, for sharing him with so many people. We will not know, until we reach the other side, just how many souls have been added to the Hosts of Heaven by his ministry.
James Smithhisler left a message on December 19, 2018:
Rev Scottie Teets was a pillar. He lived what he preached. While in Mount Vernon, Ohio as pastor of the Apostolic Christian Church, he was a dynamic and lasting friend to many. Rev Teets knew and worked with the former pastor of Apostolic Faith Church, Elder Ned Banks. He is remembered fondly by Elder Stephen Hogan, with whom he shared much of the church's history. Also fondly remembering him are Evangelist Joyce Hogan, and Minister James Smithhisler and his wife, Marsha Root Smithhisler, whom he joined in marriage. Apostolic Faith Church of Mount Vernon, Ohio, with current Pastors of District Elder Eddie L Massey and Pastor Jean S Massey, sends condolences and our prayers of comfort to the family of this great man of God. From Apostolic Faith Church, (PAW), 801 West High Street, Mount Vernon, Ohio. 43050.

Pastor Teets had such a love for people and a love for the Truth. His love for the Word of God was contagious. His passion for the Word caused me to want to seek it out for myself. Searching the scriptures was the beginning of a “New Life” for me. My life would change forever. I thank God for sending me to such a wonderful man of God. I am emotional as I write this because I know there will never be another like him and he will truly be missed. Pastor Teets, you were truly loved by many.

A good heart has stopped beating, a huge smile has disappeared, kind hands are now folded in sleep, and the soul of God’s Servant has returned back to its owner. Be comforted by the echoes of love resounding across the nation that testify of a life well lived who fulfilled his ordained life plan. You who loved him the most...are also loved much. Blessings, Betty Strawcutter

My wonderful loving father and friend has passed away and my best tribute to him his to continue being loving and smiling; befriending the lonely and downhearted, caring for those in need and who are sick, remembering the forgotten, and showing Christian love. Dad touched my heart with his true selflessness, his holy and godly life. I honor my father and will continue to honor and love my dear mother as he would want. Rest in peace dad!
