David Brennom left a message on February 8, 2020:
Ned will be missed as I knew him as the gentleman who won my grandmother’s heart, Helen J Reidel, for over 14 years of their marriage. He always welcomed myself, my wife, 2 sons and daughter into his home as we visited him and my grandmother. I knew him for 30+ years and always respected him. Sleep in peace Ned. - David Brennom

As another member of the greatest generation leaves us Ned will leave behind a hole in the community and a void in the lives of his family and friends. Ned was a real role model and reinforced the midwestern work ethic and along with Eleanor provided an example of Christian living and charity for me. Growing up in Maumee, riding my bike to the market in the summer or stopping by on the way home from Gateway middle school are enjoyable memories. I am honored to be friends with his sons and pray The Lord will comfort you with this loss. I’m looking forward to that day when we’ll meet up in paradise.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a wonderful man and I remember many times shopping in the store and my mom stopping to visit with Mr. Ned. Deepest Sympathies, Roberta
Patrick Wagener left a message on February 4, 2020:
I have so many childhood memories of Ned and his store. My Dad and Mom would make a huge buy quarterly from Ned, cause they had 10 little ones to feed. Glad he lived so long and now is resting in peace.
