Judy Biehler Miller left a message on March 17, 2019:
To the family of Mary, On behalf of the Mary Manse College Alumni, I want to extend our deepest sympathy on the passing of Mary. Many years, she would attend our annual mass and luncheon in the spring. If it was the year that her classmates were being "honored," she would graciously encourage them to attend. Sending prayers and deepest sympathy, Judy Biehler Miller
Sue Savage left a message on March 11, 2019:
Porter Family - We are so sorry that we were out of the country at the time of Mary's passing and funeral. What a wonderful lady and example to you all. We knew her as a school parent, parishioner, volunteer. When Mary said she would help, there wasn't anything she wouldn't do for you. She was always so welcoming at church - stopping to chat with everyone she knew - and loved to talk about the "old" days and people we knew in common. I will always think of Mary when I pass the Porter home on Kenwood. We know she is happy in her new heavenly home - with Jim again. Peace and Prayers, Bob and Sue Savage

Our Dear Mary, such a lovely, lovely heart, will be so missed. Her smile and laugh resonates. Who will Scott give a hard time to now? We are sorry for your loss. Know that she touched us deeply with her wisdom and kind words. A memorable chapter has concluded and her empty seat at our annual Halloween chili cook cannot be filled. Love to you all and thanks for sharing your Mom. Scott and Joanne Horen and Family
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.

Through the different seasons of life Jwfacts.org has been a valuable resource and we thoughtfully share. 'Be not afraid, I go before you always. Come, follow Me, and I will give you rest'. May these words(in song) of our risen Lord bring you all hope and comfort as you remember and celebrate Mary's life legacy. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Earth has no sorrows that Heaven cannot heal.

My sincere sympathy to the family and friends of Mary. It can be very difficult and distressing to cope with the loss of a loved one. It has helped myself and others knowing that our dear loved ones now rest in the loving memory of our Grand Creator, Jehovah.(Psalms 83:18-God's name). May you be comforted in knowing that Jehovah hates death.(1 Cor. 15:26). And promises to eliminate death forever and bring ones sleeping in death back to life on a cleansed earth. ( John 17:3; Isaiah 25:7,8; Acts 24:15; Rev. 21:4,5; Psalms 37:10,11,29). I hope these few scriptures along with your own good and loving memories of Mary help to bring comfort, peace and a hope. Jack and Noony Malone left a message on March 6, 2019:
To Susan and Mary Carolyn and family: We are so sad for you that your mother has passed away. We did not appreciate the severity of her illness and will miss not seeing her on our visits to see Peggy Malone. Mary has been a tireless caregiver for our Aunt Peggy. She not only cared for Peggy, she also assisted the Malone family (especially Jane Zilly) in caring for Peggy. Mary was a smart, kind and gentle woman. May you know of God's comfort and His love for all of you. Trust in our prayers for the repose of Mary's soul and for all of the Porter family--her beautiful legacy. Let us know if we can be of help to you. In Deepest Sympathy, Jack and Noony Malone.

Our dear Mary Porter was a wonderful substitute teacher at St. Joseph School — Sylvania for many years. As a fourth grade teacher I requested her often! She was very competent and the children had a happy productive day. May she Rest In Peace.
