William Wagoner left a message on November 16, 2018:
Larry was my first boss. He became my mentor which grew into a lifelong friendship. Although 25 years my senior, he was the best man in my wedding. I owe so much to this man. My appreciation for classical music, poetry, good red wine, sailing etc. He even improved my shaving technique to the Marine way. When I mentioned an interest in hiking the Appalachian Trail, he was all in. He was so concerned if I didn’t do it right then it wouldn’t happen. He made me a hiking stick with a message engraved on the top to encourage me when things got tough. The message was G.Y.A.G. - Get Your Ass Going! That message has served me well my entire life. Much of what I have accomplished and who I have become as a man I owe to Larry. I hope I shared with him my appreciation for everything he did for me over the years. I hope he knew how much I cared for him. And, Larry just in case you didn’t know it, I loved you! William Wagoner
Tom A left a message on November 14, 2018:
Susie and family, We so enjoyed the time spent with both your Mother and Father. The long road has brought them together again. We both learned so much from the life experiences of your Father. A ‘short’ vodka was always a treat with him. He will truly be missed. Part of him will continue to live as Tom is always using his saws. And I can’t help but not think of him every time I walk into the workshop and see his saws. Our prayers are with all of you as you journey through your loss. Tom and Beth Appleton
