JANET MITCHELL left a message on October 26, 2018:
I want to express how sorry Iam for the familys loss. There are some very comforting words found in Gods Word, the Bible, at Acts the 17th. chapter, verses 24 & 25 where God is called "the source of life"......the One who gave life to all living creatures is certainly capable of restoring life to our loved ones who have died. Another comforting scripture is found in the Bible book of Job, the 14th. chapter, verses 14 & 15. It speaks about how God longs to bring back those who are in His memory & see them live on earth again. I hope this brings the family comfort. My sincere condolence to you & yours. "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord". What a great scriptural truth for a believer who has put their faith & trust in our risen Lord Jesus. Karen has left her temporary "earthly tent" and is in her new home of Heaven, but she will not be forgotten in the hearts of all who knew her. 'I will cling to the old rugged cross, and exchange it someday for a crown'.

Dear Tom and family, Don and I had no idea Karen was even ill so this is quite a shock. Favorite memories? There really are many, but serving with you, Tom, and Karen with Westgate's High School students is by far the standout! What a wonderful time that was! So much fun and laughter! But I also have to include watching her joy at Hayden and Mary's wedding. She lived her life well. What a wonderful example she was of love, and joy in being a mom, grandmother, and friend. Our love, Don and Sherry

Dear Tom and family, Fred and I were shocked to hear of Karen's passing. We remember her sweet solos at Westgate Chapel, her warm smile and laugh, and her incredible love for her family. God used her to touch so many lives with her wisdom and compassion. " The Lord is near to the brokenhearted" Psalm 34:18. With love, Fred and Sue Brown

I am so very sorry for your loss. Please find comfort in God's sure promise of a resurrection as set forth in the Bible. (Acts 24:15; John 5:28,29) Those who are raised to life will have the prospect of never again being subject to misery, sickness, or death. (Revelation 21:4) I hope that reflecting on these thoughts and your wonderful memories will give you some relief during this difficult time.
