Joan was a a very friendly acquaintance and fellow-parishioner at St Joseph’s Church. As another 4:30 Saturday Mass attendant, I often had the privilege of greeting and opening the door for her and sharing a little banter about her fashion sense which I always found “stunning” and elegant. Not having seen her for a few months, I wondered about her and was shocked by her obituary. I will miss that smiling face at our parish doors. I look forward to seeing her again (hopefully in the distant future) in our heavenly home.
