To the Hablitzel Family: you have our condolences on the passing of "Hab". For decades, the Hablitzels have been pillars of the Port Clinton community, led by your patriarch, Hab. He was generous with his time volunteering to help make PC the strong community it is. Part of his fine legacy is a strong family and a strong community. May he rest in peace. Where to begin. I house sat, teenage wrangler, chocolate chip cookie maker, and dental assistant. You and Lou went to our Weddings New Years Eve 1966 and walked us through the birth of two children. We worked together for 10 yrs and I wrote you long rambling letters for the next 50 yrs. To say that we will miss you is a vast understatement. You are one of the great generation that we all talk about, but I actually got to know you. Lou said you made her "laugh". Your children: Mark, Matthew, Martha, and Michael were the examples of well loved children. We have many happy memories of you to remember you by.

To the Hablitzel family, My sincerest condolences on the loss of your father. So many good memories you have as well as I. Being neighbors as well as playmates with all of you, my most vivid memory is your skating pond on the side yard. Many hours spent ice skating there. Thanks for the memories! Through the many stories his adoring Granddaughter, Kerri, has shared in detail over the years, we feel as though we knew him well. Mike loves to tell other OSU fans about his game attendance even with his advancing age. She also spoke of his deep faith and love of family, his patients, and his friends. What a remarkable life he lived! Rest in peace Hab!
