We will miss Uncle Charley. He always had a smile and a positive outlook on things. I still remember the blue pickup truck he was so proud of. He had to show me all the features it had, and made me go for a ride with him. I will miss him greatly.

Charles was a true gentleman. He and my (hearing, non-signing) son, Don, built a library for us at Kateri Catholic Center. They had no trouble communicating! I think he was the inspiration for Don to learn to sign. He was always involved and helpful with our 50+ club. I’ll pray for him although I’m sure God immediately welcomed him into Heaven!

After my father died Charlie stepped in as the father figure in my life. I could not have asked for a better example. He taught me how to be a father to our daughters and even today I am the grandfather I am because of his example. An amazing man.
