My prayers and thoughts are with the entire family. Growing up in the church Chuck , Jean, and the entire Smith Family were and still are a cornerstone of the church. I always will remember that big smile and firm hand shake. I will remember his hard work taking care of the church. The beautiful funiture he has made in the church have been a part of my children’s baptisms and been a place I pray when life has been good and bad. Lots of love and prayers. Aaron Leist and Family

I'm thankful for the foundation of math principles that Mr. Smith cultivated in me. He was an amazing Educator and inspired me to a career of Public Education. I loved his sense of humor and how masterful he was in turning a practical joke around. Dozen hard boiled eggs a gift to him for Easter; except for the one egg that was raw! He found it and I had to down the raw egg in a glass! Hold onto those precious memories. My thoughts and prayers are with Jean and your amazing family. Cindy Kline '76

The best math teacher ever. He encouraged me when I struggled in some areas but his constant pushing me to do better and try harder paid off thru 4 years of engineering studies. I would often think of him , even at this point in my life as math and trig especially Are a part of my daily life and work. A great mentor! I can still see him sitting on the chair back as he often did.
