Nadine left a message on December 7, 2019:
Alex was in my son Danny's class at St. Joseph Sylvania School. My first encounter with Alex was when she played Hermione Granger from the Harry Potter books. Forever after, I could only picture Hermione as represented by Alex. She was truly magical! Our deepest sympathies to you who are left to mourn her passing and hopes for you to remember the special spirit that is Alex.

Thank you for your beautiful story of your beautiful daughter. I know the tragedy of opioids and their toll on our children's mental and physical health. My own daughter has been clean and sober since her son was born 6 years ago. Addiction has been a scourge on so many families and on our country for too long. Information and Education do not seem to be having any affect on it. I don't know any other way to combat it but through prayer and as you have so bravely done, loving them unconditionally. My heart grieves with you. Thank you for you honesty and openness as you go through this most difficult time. Thank you also for being a great supervisor in the PACU, Leslie. I learned so much there and it was a pleasure getting to know you much better than at RHS. You have come to my memory many times recently. Your family will be in our prayers. May the peace that passes understanding be yours.

I am sending a message of deepest sympathy to a pair of loving, devoted and heartbroken parents. That obituary was full of the years of little days and grown up troubles. May God hold you both with love and strength as the days go forward. It has been many years since I have seen you Leslie. I clearly remember when you got this precious gift from God. You and John were a gift to her and Alexandra was your gift. May she rest in God’s peace. God Bless you and all of your family. Patti Pearson
