Zofia Chudy, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, departed from us to God on Friday, October 26, 2007. Our mother was born on November 17, 1924 in Graboszyce, Poland to Ignacy and Anna Lazinska Gora and married Bronislaw Chudy in 1946. He preceded her in death on July 5, 2006. She had worked for Port Clinton High School and Ida Rupp Public Library and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton. Our mother enjoyed reading, gardening, baking and bicycling. Her unselfish love and dedication to family, friends and community touched many. Survivors include: Children: Peter Jeanette Chudy of Poland, Maria Paul Moon of Port Clinton, Stasia Zbigniew Chrapkiewiez of Port Clinton, Anna William Wilson of Northwood, OH; Grandchildren: Nicholas, Oliver, Victoria, Laura Kamil, Elisabeth, Michael Teresa, Peter Melody, Raymond, Martina, Melissa; Great-Grandchildren: Corin, Luke, Addison; 4 Sisters in Poland, Aleksandra Stanek, Maria Pietraszewska, Genowefa Putek, and Anna Gzela; sister-in-law Celestyna Gora; and two first cousins living in the States, Stacey Janik and Olga Przybylowicz. Our mother was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Bronislaw and a brother, Jan Gora. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Thursday, November 1, 2007 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, Port Clinton, OH. A Memorial Mass will be conducted by Father John C. Missler at 10:30 AM on Friday, November 2, 2007 in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in memory of our mother be made to either the Immaculate Conception Church, Ida Rupp Public Library, or the Port Clinton Academic Boosters.
