Zane Lacey Cordell

Mr. Zane Lacey Cordell, 90, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2026, after an extended illness. Zane was born June 2, 1935, in Carter County, Tennessee, to Darris and Lilly Fasada (Harmon) Cordell. Zane was a faithful member of the Lutheran Church of the Master, Perrysburg, Ohio for over 60 years, serving as a deacon and in other roles. He retired from Luckey Farmers as a truck driver and loved fishing and hunting. Zane was an avid sports fan; especially his Detroit Tigers, coaching little league baseball, playing his guitar & singing. He had a band" Buddy & the Branders". Zane played and sang at church and for anybody, anytime. He loved God, his family & friends, music, baseball, dogs & pie.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Robert (Diane) and Timothy (Dianne); grandchildren Lee (Lee C), Tyler (Lauren), Melissa (Ryan) Ryan (Sarah), 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Janice Staford; brothers- in -law, William Tinney Jr (Kathleen) and Michael Tinney (Maggie); along with many nieces, nephews, loving family members and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife of 64 years, Jo Ann Tinney Cordell; brothers, Gene Cordell, James Cordell, Oliver Cordell, Granville Nathaniel Cordell, Wayne Cordell, Loren Cordell, Daryell Cordell, Glen Cordell; and sisters, Edith Davis and Flisty Ann Cordell.

The family will receive friends at Maison-Dardenne Walker Funeral Home 501 Conant Street Maumee, Tuesday, June 2, 2026, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Funeral services Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 10:00 am at the Lutheran Church of the Master, 28744 Simmons Road Perrysburg, where the family will greet friends at 9:00 am. Pastor Mark Wentz officiating. Interment: New Belleville Ridge Cemetery, Dowling, Ohio. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association , Lutheran Church of the Master, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
