Yvonne Marie Mcfellin

Yvonne McFellin, age 73, of Toledo, passed away at home after a two-year-battle with cancer. At her bedside was her husband of forty-seven years, Jeffrey McFellin, and her two sons, Matt and John. She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Jr. Known to her family and friends as “Bunny”, she was beloved wherever she went. Tiny in stature, but with a smile that lit up the room, Bunny had a presence that stood out and a grace that captivated. After graduating from Start High School in 1966, she met her dream boat, Jeff, on her 22nd birthday at Centennial Quarry. She told one and all, that day, she knew she had met the man she would marry. And the rest, as they say, is history. Although a proud Toledo girl, Bunny loved her time in the sun. Whether traveling to the Cayman Islands, vacationing in South Florida or floating in her backyard pool, nothing gave her more joy than spending time on her raft, surrounded by family and friends. Before she learned that her cancer had spread, Bunny was able to have fun in the sun with the whole family while vacationing in Florida this past October. Although gone from our sight, she is never gone from our hearts. Funny and feisty to the end, Yvonne will be sorely missed by the many whose lives she touched. She is survived by her husband, Jeff; sons, Matt and John (and their spouses); grandchildren, Lauren and Finn; brother, Paul; and good friend and brother-in-law, Becky and Jack. Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, Rosemary and Dale Gladieux, her son, Jeffrey McFellin, Jr., and her beloved cat Nicky. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 16th and Thursday, December 17th, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Avenue. Funeral services will begin Friday, December 18th, at 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery. Due to COVID, masks and social distancing will be required at all times. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Yvonne’s name to Open Door Ministry, Inc.
