Yvonne M. Hall, 62, of Oak Harbor, died peacefully on Sunday, August 17, 2014, at Stein Hospice with family by her side. She was born June 29, 1952, in Port Clinton, Ohio, to Alvena (Kardotzke) and Ralph T. Huston, Sr. She graduated from Oak Harbor High School in 1970 and in 1972 she earned an Associate’s Degree in Applied Business from The University of Toledo. Yvonne married William Bill Hall on June 15, 1973, at LaPointe UMC in Port Clinton. She worked in the payroll department at Davis-Besse for 30 years. Upon retirement, Yvonne was appointed guardian for Billy Joe and cared for him for several years before becoming ill. Yvonne was a member of LaPointe United Methodist Church and also attended Cedar Creek Church in Perrysburg. Yvonne was a loving mother, devoted grandmother, sister and aunt. She enjoyed cooking, shopping and fine dining. Her charismatic personality could light up a room and bring a smile to your face. She had an active social life and enjoyed charity work. Yvonne was a former CASA volunteer and Epsilon ETA sorority member. Yvonne also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She was blessed with the spirit of joy and giving and a good friend to many. Yvonne is survived by her husband, Bill, her son Brian (Chrissy) Hall, step daughter, Angie Hall and two grandchildren, Chance and Alayna. She also leaves behind brothers, Roger Huston, Sr. and Ralph (Regina) Huston, Jr. and sister, Jacqueline Jackie (Randy) Macko, as well as several nieces and nephews. Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, Amy Elizabeth Hall (daughter), and special friend, Lee. Visitation will be at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home& Crematory, 165 E. Water St., Oak Harbor, from 2-8 p.m., Thursday, August 21, 2014, with the family present 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 22, 2014, at Oak Harbor United Methodist Church, 360 E. Ottawa St., Oak Harbor, with burial to follow in Rusha Cemetery, Oak Harbor. The family has requested memorials for Yvonne to go to Stein Hospice, 1200 N. Sycamore Line Rd., Sandusky, OH 44870; or to the Oak Harbor United Methodist Church.
