Winnifred Winnie Seifred, 97, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2011 at Kingston Residence of Perrysburg. Winnie was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on January 13, 1914 to the late Frederick and Winifred Mills. Winnie was known by her close friends and family as either Winnie the Pooh or Nannie. Winnie married Art Seifred in Toronto on April 2, 1942. Art at that time was a professional hockey player. Winnie loved the outdoors and enjoyed mountain climbing in the Canadian Rockies and was an avid downhill skier until she was 85. She enjoyed the many winter ski trips she and Art took with the family and friends throughout Canada and the United States. Winnies other passion was reading while listening to classical music. In recent years she always looked forward to her yearly trips to Hilton Head Island and Naples, Florida with her daughter and son-in-law. Winnie was preceded in death by her husband Art in 1998, a son, David in 2005 and brothers Ron and Fred. She is survived by her daughter, Marnie Bill Ammann, granddaughter Allison Swift and cousin Bill Jean Chaplin. Winnie is also survived by very dear friends Clive and Carol Figueira and their children Kate and Michael. Friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 from 10 to 11:30 a.m., in the Maison Dardenne Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, where a memorial service will begin at 11:30 a.m. The family thanks the kind and caring staff of Kingston.
