Winfrey Dean Street, 80, of Toledo, died Sunday afternoon, October 16, 2016, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. Dean was born March 4, 1936, in Nashville, Tennessee, to Winfrey N. and Dimple D. (Rowlette) Street. On March 7, 1959, in Monroe, Michigan, he married Elaine J. Draheim and she survives. Dean served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War with the 82nd Airborne as a paratrooper. He retired from Jeep in Toledo after many years. Dean was a former member of the Toledo Bass Club; he was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed metal detecting, fishing and hunting. In addition to his wife, Elaine, Dean is survived by his daughter, Diane Street (Gail Fancher) of Oregon and son, Dean L. Street of Toledo, grandchildren, Hunter McLaughlin and Jacob Saba, brother, Ron (Loretta) Street, sister-in-law, Mary Street, and nieces and nephews. His parents and brother, Jerry Street, preceded him in death. A Memorial Luncheon will be held 4:00 p.m., Sunday, October 23, 2016, at the American Legion Christ Dunberger Post #5374, 4926 Pickle Rd., Oregon, with military honors to be conducted at 4:30 p.m. The family wishes for memorials for Dean to go to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Rd., Perrysburg, OH 43551. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory of Genoa, has assisted the family with arrangements.
