WILMA GAY FURFARO-COOK Wilma Gay-God’s Garden Angel God called a Garden Angel to keep His gardens growing Though her earthly garden misses her there’s blessed comfort knowing That her loving, gentle gardening gave honor to The Lord Her garden flourished peacefully when she went to her Reward Her lovely smile and twinkling eyes now light the morning sky Each day our Angel guides us we need never say goodbye God called a Garden Angel from Heaven she now sings We’ll rest, and love, and spend our days in the shelter of her wings “Michael McNutt Gay’s son-in-law” Wilma Gay Furfaro-Cook, age 84 of Holland, Ohio died Friday, November 27, 2015 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born in Morgantown, West Virginia on December 31, 1930 to Harrison and Ethel (Butcher) Bolyard. Gay worked for many years as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the University of Toledo Medical Center and with area nursing homes throughout the Toledo area. She loved gardening, was an avid reader but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. Gay is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Cook; children, Daniel Joseph (Kathy) Smith, Albert Philip (Jana) Smith and Tami Gay (Michael McNutt) grandchildren, Danny, Sandy, Joey, Paul, Bobby, Michael, Melanie, Katie, Chrissy, Philip, Jeremy, Jamie, Jacob and Christina; numerous great grandchildren; siblings, Florence Baker, Kay “Ruthie” Williams and Doyle “Rusty” Bolyard; stepchildren, Brenda, Sandy and Bill, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Brenda Smith and numerous nieces and nephews. In death, she went on to join her parents, Harrison and Ethel; sons, Gilbert Thomas and Robert Keith Smith; husbands, Daniel Smith and Robert Furfaro; siblings Harlin “Barney”, Melvin “Red” and Mary Ellen Bolyard as well as Ruby Fomink. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, December 2, 2015, 3:00 P.M. at New Hope Christian Church, 2457 Holloway Road in Holland, OH 43528.
