Wilma Jo Buchanan

Wilma Jo Buchanan, 89, of Port Clinton, OH passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 22, 1929 in Trenton, TN to Benjamin and Dora (Morgan) Sanders. On April 2, 1948 in Corinth, MS she married A.C. Buchanan, who preceded her in death on January 13, 2007. Wilma Jo worked as a homemaker and was a member of the Church of Christ, Port Clinton. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and Bible classes. Wilma Jo is survived by her children, A.C. (Kathy) Buchanan, Jr., Cathy (Ken) Priddy, Alan (Sarah) Buchanan, Mark (Kirra Day) Buchanan, Joe (Jacque) Buchanan, Julie (Don) Messersmith, and Pam (Robert) Jensen, 19 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Barbara Cowan, son, Michael Buchanan, grandson, Joshua Priddy, grandson, Christopher Cowan, great grandson, Ryan Cowan, brothers, Lois, Luther, and Billy Sanders, and sisters, Freddie Moore, Mary Schonover, and Ola Mae Sanders. Visitation will be on Monday, April 30, 2018 from 2-8 p.m. at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Oak Harbor. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at the funeral home with visitation one hour prior from 10 -11 a.m. Interment will follow in Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Memorial contributions may be given in memory of Wilma Jo to the Church of Christ, Port Clinton.
