William Tinta

William Rip Tinta, 80, of Maumee, OH passed away Thursday, July 17, 2008 in St. Lukes Hospital. He was born October 25, 1927 in Toledo to John C. and Barbara Hrubizna Tinta. Rip was employed by Chrysler Jeep Corp as a Die Setter over 43 years, retiring in 1987. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Maumee. Rip was a charter member of the Times-Blade Classic Bowling league for over 25 years. He was a Birmingham Hall of Fame member and also a Toledo Bowling Association Hall of Famer. Rip is survived by his loving wife, Eileen Smith Tinta; and sister, Sr. Vilma. In addition to his parents, Rip was preceded in death by his brothers, Julius, Louis and Joe Tinta. Family and friends may visit Friday from 4-7 p.m. in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee. Funeral services will begin Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home followed by the funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Maumee.
