William “Bill” Stanley died peacefully on March 10, 2023, at the age of 80. Bill was born to his parents Garrett and Augusta (Belcher) Stanley on March 4, 1943, in Webster Springs, West Virginia. He loved the hills of West Virginia and was devoted to his siblings his entire life.
With his quirky sense of humor, Bill brought much joy to everyone around him. His smile will forever be imprinted on the hearts of those who loved him. He and his life partner, Donald Delaney, had many years of happiness together.
Hard work was part of Bill’s makeup as he spent 23 years at Schindler Elevator and after it closed, worked another 13 years at BAX Global until he retired.
Food was more than a necessity for Bill, it was to be enjoyed. Sweet treats with an emphasis on milk chocolate were his favorites. His beloved dogs, Roxey and Candy, brought great happiness to Bill, and he would tell everyone about them.
He will forever be remembered by his sister, Mary Ellen; cousin, Vicki, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded by his parents; siblings, Ovie, Oral, James, Irene and Evellyn.
