William Snyder

William Bill Snyder, 88, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away, Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at his residence. Bill was born on August 27, 1922 in Port Clinton, OH, the son of Earl and Catherine J. Fitzthum Snyder. He was married to Virginia Ginny Heminger and she preceded him in death on February 18, 1999. Bill worked as a mechanic for Celotex for 45 years and then for Portage Twp. for 10 years. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton, OH. Bill will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Survivors include: Sons: Wayne Karen Snyder Sr. and Leslie Joetta Snyder both of Port Clinton, OH; Daughter: Cheryl Jack Scott of Clyde, OH; Grandchildren: William Snyder, Lori Allen, Hollie Goble, Wayne Snyder Jr., Matt Snyder and Lisa Wildman; 7 Great-Grandchildren; Sisters: Catherine Mallory and Mary Johnson both of Port Clinton, OH; Brother: Bob Snyder of Port Clinton, OH and many loving nieces and nephews Visitation will be 2-4 6-8PM, Thursday, January 13, 2011 at the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. Funeral services will be conducted by Father John Missler at 2:00PM, Friday, January 14, 2011 in the funeral home. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH.
