William Simon

William Simon, 83, of Bowling Green, Ohio died Monday, July 6, 2015. William was born in Toledo, Ohio on December 12, 1931 to Husain and Mariam Simon. He married his sweetheart, Ameena Hady on August 21, 1954. William was a dedicated music teacher and worked for many schools around the Toledo area and prior from the Dearborn, MI. area. He was loved and respected by his students for the devoted time and compassion he gave them because of his love of music. He was a highly respected and loved member of the Islamic Center of Greater Toledo, and devoted member of their senior club. William is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Ameena Simon; daughters, Deborah (Jim) Kramer of Center Point, TX., Karen Simon of Maumee, OH. and Lila (Al) DeWitte of Haskins, OH. He was dearly loved by his family, including 15 brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service for William will be at the Islamic Center of Greater Toledo, 25877 Scheider Rd. Perrysburg, Ohio on Tuesday, July 7, 2015, with visitation between 12:00 p.m. and 12:30 p.m., services from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Arrangements were entrusted to Witzler Shank Funeral Home, Perrysburg (419-874-3133). In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Islamic Center of Greater Toledo, or a charity of your choice.
