William James Bill Shock, age 66, passed away peacefully December 2, 2010 at St. Lukes Hospital. He was born May 25, 1944 in Van Wert, Ohio to Max E. Shock and Florence E. Manken Shock, both deceased. Bill married Kathy Anne Rawlings on December 21, 1968. She preceded him in death September 15, 2010. Bill is survived by his two lovely daughters, Tricia N. Dr. Daniel Wedding of Toledo and Steffany A. Shock of State College, PA; two grandchildren, Daniel and Carol Ann Wedding; brother, Paul F. Lynn Shock of Delphos, OH; and nephews Christopher L. Shock of New Haven, IN and Andrew J. Angy Shock of Delphos, OH. Bill was a 1962 Graduate of Van Wert High School and attended BGSU majoring in Music and Broadcasting. He worked for WTOL Channel 11, WNWO Channel 24, WGTE FM 91.3, Amazing Space, and as a Music Director for many area churches including Hope Lutheran Church, Grace Lutheran Church, and most recently First Presbyterian Church in Maumee. Bill loved fishing, especially with his two grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 4441 Monroe St. on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 11:00AM with visitation at the church beginning one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Bills memory to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements made through the Walker Funeral Home, 419.841.2422.
