William Charles Reau

William C. Reau 11/13/1962 – 10/19/2021 William C. Reau, more known as Chuck Reau, of Oak Harbor, Ohio left us unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 19th. Chuck was known to be the guy to fly by the seat of his pants and jack of all trades. He was a wanderer, but in 2013 found his calling being a Merchant Marine Seaman. He was able to hone in on his skill from his time in the Navy, and able to spend as much time as possible in Teacapan, Mexico, submerged in different culture and living his best life. Sin Prisa or No Hurry was his mantra. Chuck is survived by his parents, Nelson Reau and Patricia Burrell (Bodi), his children, William “Bill” and Amber, and his adventure seeking and road tripping grandsons, Wyatt and Kace. He is also survived by his siblings, Barry (Lisa), Jackie, David, and Nelson “Lee” (Jess) Reau and his confidant and best friend, Randy Kohlman. He was preceded in death by his step-mother, Frances Reau, step-father, Donald Burrell, his younger brother, Nelson Leo Reau, and his sister-in-law, Tina Reau. Visitation for Chuck will be Tuesday, October 26, 2021 from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 165 E. Water St., Oak Harbor, OH. Memorial contributions in memory of Chuck may be given to benefit the dental program, called Project Stretch and the community group called Amigos de Teacapan. Chuck helped out at the dental clinic, donated to Amigos de Teacapan, and sponsored a scholarship for one of the students.
