William Anthony Prieur

William A. Prieur, Jr., also known as Bill, died Sunday, December 5, 2020 in the H.B. Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton, after a brief illness. He was born in Sandusky, Ohio on November 28, 1960, the son of William A. Prieur, Sr. and Agnes M. (Strouse) Prieur-Smith. Bill worked in the construction field for many years. Bill, shortly after he turned 18 years old, left home to travel the United States and before he settled down, he saw a great part of it. He was a NASCAR fan and in recent years he lived a more simple life surrounding himself with friends and family. Bill is survived by his girlfriend, Donna Messina, siblings, Dawn VanHoose, Tina Rodriguez, Scott Smith and Deborah Rogers, step-father, Arthur “Muerl” Smith, daughters, Mia Ruffing, Misty Trent and Ashley Walton and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Richard, David and Michael Prieur. Services for Bill will be conducted on a date to be announced later. The Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 216 Washington Street, Port Clinton is assisting the family with arrangements.
