William Raymond Preston

William Raymond Preston, age 80, died peacefully on October 6, 2015 at Ebeid Hospice with his loving family by his side. Bill was born May 15, 1935 in Holmes County to the late William Stephen Preston and Eileen Ruth Craft. At age 12, he moved to Sandusky Co. and Bill graduated from Green Springs High School in 1954. He married Donna Jean Hessick in 1956 and they moved to Toledo in 1959. A selfless, hardworking provider for his family, Bill retired from Secor Tire/Bell Tire in 2005 after 40 years of dedicated employment. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling, reading and fishing, but found his greatest joy in time spent with family. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 59 years, Donna; children, Mark William Preston (Nancy), Julie Ann Dicken (Steven), Carol Lynn Jones (Rick), Brian Lee Preston (Sara) and Eric Stephen Preston (Michelle); eleven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and siblings, Robert Preston (Lavina), Patricia Burkholder (Gerald), Jerry Preston (Joni), Donald and David Preston. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 in the Chapel of Peace at Toledo Memorial Park, 6382 Monroe St., Sylvania. The Walker Funeral Home, Toledo, is assisting the family with arrangements.
