William Greer Post, Iii

William “Bill” Greer Post III, of Sylvania, Ohio, passed away on March 1, 2022, at 7:35 P.M. at his residence surrounded by family. Bill attended Lehigh College, where he was a proud player of the soccer team. He was a retired carpenter who specialized in remodeling and restoration. Bill was extremely skilled and took great pride in his work. He was known for always helping his friends and family with their carpentry projects.

Bill was a history buff and a trivia savant. He enjoyed playing strategy games like euchre, chess, and poker. Bill had a passion for music and enjoyed listening to classic rock. In his spare time, he enjoyed sipping on wine coolers with his family around the backyard campfire. Bill will be remembered for his sense of humor, intelligence, and quick wit.

William G. Post was born on May 2, 1950, in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, the son of William Greer Jr., and Carolyn (Cogan) Post. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Linda (Mason) Post.

In addition to his wife, those surviving include his three children, Nathan, Megan, and Jennifer Post; his sister, Virginia (Curtis) Buttel, and many nieces and nephews. Bill is preceded in death by his parents, William and Carolyn, and his sister and brother-in-law, Marjorie (Damon) Donahue.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, from 3:00-6:00 P.M. at the Walker Funeral Home, Sylvania Avenue. A Funeral Service will follow, with Pastor David Andersen officiating.
