William Michael Pelish, Sr.

William M. Pelish, Sr. died Saturday, January 28, 2017. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on June 25, 1947 to John (Margaret Schuster) Pelish, both of whom preceded him in death. He married Norma Matradona on April 30, 2006 in Sylvania, Ohio. After serving 3 years in the Army, protecting his country, he continued his military career as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army Reserves for over 30 years until retiring. He was employed with the City of Toledo in the sanitation department for 30 years, retiring in 1997. He enjoyed food, playing Santa, traveling, and was an all-around family man. William loved to talk and could talk with anyone for hours on end. Bill is survived by his wife Norma; children William (Brittany) Pelish, Jamie (Jessica) Pelish, Tammi (Christopher) Arthur, Darwin (Jona Jen) Albunian, Cindy Albunion; 11 grandchildren; siblings Barbara (Roger G. Haar) Pelish-Haar, Arlene (Tom Mulkey) Pelish, Nannette (John) Ramstadt; many loving nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received in the Hoeflinger-Bolander Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Ave. Oregon, Ohio 43616 (419-691-6768) Thursday, February 2, 2017 from 2-7 PM with funeral services beginning at 7 PM. Burial will be private. Memorial Contributions may be made to United States Vets, Inc. to help assist Veteran’s with medical care for PTSD.
