It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved dad, Bill, who transitioned to his eternal home on January 20, 2025. He was surrounded by his loving family in his final moments. Bill was a devoted husband for 47 years and a committed father to six children, all of whom adored him along with his grandchildren. Bill was a diligent employee for General Motors, Sandusky Ohio, for over 30 years. He was a man of immense humor, and sharing genuine laughter with family and friends was one of his cherished pastimes. The lake's shoreline will always remember him, just as he will always be remembered by the lake. Bill was a dedicated soul winner whose life was deeply devoted to sharing the love of Christ with others for many years, leaving a legacy of transformed lives. He believed in the power of the Gospel and found great joy in seeing others come to know God's grace.
Bill’s loving spirit will live on through his children, Katherine (Todd) Bird, Cheryl (Scott) Pratt, William A. “Billy” (Julie) Orris, IV, Adam (Miranda) Orris, Sarah (Raymond) Bazar, and Brittany (Mike) Sakal, grandchildren, Caleb, Kelsey, Cody, Logan, Luke, Lance, Lane, William V, Carson, Joel, Akella, Ellie, Bristol, and Eli, along with nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carolyn F. (McClellan) whom he married in Rogersville, Tennessee on July 3, 1968, his parents, William A. and Eileen H. (Provonsil) Orris, Sr., son, William A. Orris III, and his brother, Wayne Orris.
