William John Okorowski, 90, of Perrysburg, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. William was born February 20, 1931 in Toledo, Ohio to Anthony John and Clara (Ciesielski) Okorowski. He graduated from Woodward High School. He married Barbara Kaufman on May 22, 1954 at St. Hedwigs Church and they shared 58 years together until she passed in 2012. William worked for Mohr Brothers, 7-Up, Albrings and Spangler Candy Company, where he earned top salesman. He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Perrysburg. He became a Grand Knight from 1965-1966 and was on the Knights of Columbus Council 5139. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and golfing with his brothers and sisters. William loved gardening and lawn care, traveling and spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren’s sporting events. William loved sweets, a turtle sundae from Mr. Freeze, Hershey chocolate bars, cookies, ice cream and cake. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor, his infectious smile, his Polish heritage, and his strong work ethic. William will be missed by all who knew and loved him. William is survived by his children; Bill (Brenda), LuAnne (Chris), Bobbie (Roberta) (Patsy), Doug (Deanna) and Patricia (Randy); grandchildren, Brett (Abbey), Kellie (Jared), Chase (Alex), Brad, Blair, Melissa (Taylor), Emily (Shayne), Megan (Jeremy), Anthony (Sibylle), Andrew and Aaron; great-grandchildren, Landen, Jackson, Samantha, Madelyn, Florian and Luke and sister-in-law Betty Tatkowski. Along with his wife, Barbara, he was preceded in death by his son, Randy, his parents, in-laws, siblings, Hilly (Dorothy), Amelia, Raymond (Jean), Delores (Danny), Robert (Jeri), Harold (Kay) and Marilyn; brother-in-law, Lou Tatkowski. Friends and family will be received Monday, April 5, 2021 from 2-8 p.m. at Witzler-Shank Walker Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133) where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Rose Catholic Church, 215 E. Front Street, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Rose Catholic Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
