William Thomas “Tom” McNutt, husband and father, passed away on Wednesday, December 23rd, 2020. Tom was born on May 27th, 1942 in Warren, Ohio to William E. McNutt and Beverly (Thomas) McNutt. He received his Bachelor’s in Education from Kent State University in 1970. He worked in multiple school districts throughout Ohio including Bettsville, Northfolk, Perrysburg, and Toledo (Rodgers). On August 28, 1965, he married Joan Ann Easton and had three children. Tom was known for teaching multiple subjects including industrial arts, drivers ed, and technology including robotics. He was also a bus driver, golf coach, bookkeeper for high school basketball games, and school board treasurer. Tom was very involved in the community having volunteered his time as a Boy Scout leader, baseball coach, and as a tram operator at AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. He was a former member of the Masonic Temple and was a founding member of the Toledo Harbor Lighthouse Preservation Society. Tom had multiple hobbies in his lifetime. Some of which included firearms, camping, playing chess, reading, and woodworking. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, William and Beverly and his wife, Joan, passed ten days after his death. He is survived by his children Amy (Michael) Miller, Eric (Carol) McNutt, Aaron (Tracy) McNutt, his brother Robert (Jean) McNutt, and six grandchildren. Service will be held on Friday, January 8th, 2021 at Noon at Walker Funeral Home (5155 W. Sylvania Ave, Toledo, OH 43623). Visitation will be from 10AM-12PM that morning.
