William W. McDowell, 81, of Findlay, OH, passed away, Friday, July 29, 2016 at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay, OH. Bill was born on March 12, 1935 in Findlay, OH, the son of W. Wayne and Margaret Elizabeth (Hartline) McDowell. On April 14, 1956, he married Mary Nelle Hess and she preceded him in death on June 08, 2015. Bill worked as a credit card account manager for Marathon Oil, Findlay, OH. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Port Clinton, OH. Bill was dearly loved and respected. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Survivors include: Daughters: Barbara L. McDowell of Worthington, OH and Elizabeth A. (John II) Zitkovic of Findlay, OH; Grandson: Stephen William (Amy C.) Zitkovic of Lombard, IL. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. A Memorial Service will be conducted by Pastor Bruce Batchelor-Glader at 11:00AM, Tuesday, August 02, 2016 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 135 Adams St., Port Clinton, OH 43452. Memorial donations in memory of Bill may be given to Trinity United Methodist Church or Tiffin University. Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory has assisted the family with arrangements.
