William Bill Mauder

William “Bill” Mauder, 87, of Northwood, OH passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at his home. He was born on October 20, 1930 to Norman and Caroline (Buda) Mauder in Gibsonburg, OH. He proudly served his country in the United States Marines during the Korean War. Bill loved fishing, golfing, and spending time at his cottage at Nettle Lake. He was an avid sports fan and loved the Detroit Tigers and Ohio State. Bill is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Larry, Ray, Butch, Chub; sisters, Jo, Sis, Norma, Ann; and daughter-in-law, Donna. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Doris; children, Janet (Jim) Mathers, Cindy (Dave) Shields, Bill (Tracy), Ric, Greg, Lisa (Paul) Mulinix; grandchildren, Angel, Melissa, Josh, Will, Ryan, Molli, Grace, Abbey; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Jim (Bev); sisters, Sue (Phil), Deed (Ray), Jeanne (Walt); sisters-in-law, Therese and June (Ron) Dameworth. Visitation will be held at Hoeflinger-Shank Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Ave., Oregon, OH on Sunday, March 11, 2018 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, March 12, 2018 at 10:00 am at St. Jerome Parish in Walbridge, OH. Memorial Contributions may be made to Helping Hands of St. Louis or the Cherry Street Mission.
