William "Billy" J. Lasher, born February 21st, 1964 in Buffalo, New York, passed way peacefully on May 25th, 2026 in Williston, Ohio surrounded by the love of his family.

Billy's smile could light up a room, and his laughter made everyone around him feel at home. He carried a warmth and kindness that stayed with people long after they met him. To know him was to love him.

A proud native of Buffalo, New York, Billy Joe was a devoted fan of the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres, faithfully cheering on his teams through every season. His love for Buffalo stayed with him throughout his life.

Billy Joe spent many cherished summer in Port Clinton, Ohio where he worked alongside his father, Lee Lasher, charter fishing aboard the family boat "Limit Out". Those days out on the water brought him endless happiness and created memories that his family and friends will hold close forever.

When he wasn't fishing, Billy Joe could often be found cruising around the campground on his beloved golf cart waving to friends and spreading smiles wherever he went. He loved the simple joys in life, such as riding horses, spending time outdoors, coloring and crafting, and being surrounded by the people he loved most.

Billy Joe took pride in his work at Riverview Industries in Oak Harbor, Ohio, where he touched the lives of his coworkers and friends alike with his cheerful spirit and gentle heart. Most recently, he lived at the Luther Home of Mercy in Williston, Ohio and regularly attended the Emmaus day program in Oregon, Ohio, where he enjoyed spending time with friends and staff who brought him so much happiness and companionship and built lasting memories.

More than anything Billy Joe will be remembered for the happiness he brought into the world. He had the kind of happiness that people spend their whole lives searching for. His smile was contagious, his heart was pure, and his presence made life brighter for everyone who was fortunate enough to know him.

Though he will be deeply missed, the love, laughter, and joy he gave so freely will live on forever in the hearts of the his family and his friends.

Proceeded in death by his mother and father Leroy J. and Kathleen A. Lasher (Kepece) and grandparents. Survived by brothers Patrick Lasher (Mary), Leroy Lasher Jr (Pam); Nieces & Nephews Brittany Lasher, (Jason) Amelia and Kylee, Patrick Lasher Jr (Jimi), and Amber Lasher (Lucas), Rainy and Bo, Bentley and Kaeden.
