William J. Kohbarger, 75, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away Friday, March 07, 2008 at H. B. Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton, OH. He was born on March 13, 1932 in Marion, OH, the son of Dale and Desdamae Lillian Winters Orr. Bill worked as a police officer for the Port Clinton Police Department for 23 years retiring in 1999, prior to that he was a police officer in Marion, OH. William and Hazel owned and operated the Town and Country Restaurant in Port Clinton for 10 years. He served in the U. S. Air Force. Bill was a member of the Elks Lodge #1718. He was the past president and secretary of the Port Clinton Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #79. Bill enjoyed golfing with his buddies, grandchildren and son. He loved his many pets. Bill will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Survivors include: Former Wife & Best Friend: Hazel A. Kohbarger of Oak Harbor, OH; Daughter: Pamela L. Hatfield of Oak Harbor, OH; Son: William A. Bill Lisa Kohbarger of Carlin, NV; Grandchildren: Amanda & Jonathan Hatfield, Noah Kohbarger and Thessy Wilcox; and several loving nieces from Indiana. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, daughter: Terri Jo and sister: Sylvia Coslett. Visitation will be from 4-8PM on Monday, March 10, 2008 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, Port Clinton, OH. Funeral Services will be conducted by Reverend David Voll at 10:30AM, Tuesday, March 11, 2008 in the funeral home.
