William A. Koepplinger, 74, of Walbridge, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. William was born December 2, 1941 in Toledo, Ohio to William R. and Nancy Koepplinger. He married Alicia M. Rodriguez on August 25, 1979 in Toledo, Ohio. William served our country in the United States Army. He was a truck driver and worked in the warehouse of Seaway Foodtown for 30 years, retiring in 1998. He was currently the Vice Commander of Walbridge VFW Post #9963 and was also the past Commander of Walbridge VFW Post #9963. He volunteered at the Lake Township Fire Department and EMT. Along with his wife, Alicia, William is survived by his children, Lynn Bishop, Kelly Koepplinger, Gene (Amy) Wagner, Lisa Koepplinger, and Alfred (Theresa) Koepplinger; ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild, brother, Larry (Joann) Koepplinger and special dog, Mayo. He was preceded in death by his parents and one great-grandchild. Friends will be received, Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 2-8 P.M. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 701 N. Main Street, Walbridge (419-666-3121) where the Walbridge VFW Post #9963 will conduct a service at 7 P.M. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 30, 2016 at the funeral home at 10 A.M. Burial will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Julie Lyn Foundation, 634 Horse Ferry Road, Lawrenceville, GA, 30044 or the Walbridge VFW Post #9963, 109 N.
