William H. Miller

William H. Miller, 90, of Catawba Island, passed away, Tuesday, August 01, 2017 at H.B. Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton, OH. Bill was born on February 01, 1927 in Lakewood, OH, the son of Otto H. and Doris (Fonger) Miller. On July 27, 1946 in Massachusetts, he married Geraldine Sherlock and she preceded him in death on July 29, 2011. Bill worked as an electrical contractor owning his own business, Miller Electric Co. and also worked for Erie Industrial Park for 5 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, serving in WWII. Bill was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He also was a member of the Port Clinton Elks Lodge #1718, the Moose Lodge #1610 and the American Legion Post #113, all of Port Clinton, OH. Bill will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Those left to cherish his memory are: Sons: Richard W. (Jeanette) Miller of Troy, MI and Bruce D. (Carol) Miller of Avon Lake, OH; Daughter: Carolyn (Angelo) Marsili of Dillonvalle, OH; 11 Grandchildren; 16 Great-Grandchildren; Bill was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sisters: Jean Garber, Barbara Roberts, Hilda McDonald, Betty (David) Burdett, Patricia (Harold) Dennis, brother: Jack (Maurine) Miller and granddaughter: Stacy DelBoccio Cavicchia. A Memorial service will be held 10:30am, Saturday, August 12, 2017, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 414 Madison St., Port Clinton, OH 43452. Private interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery, Avon, OH. Memorial donations can be given to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or the Liberty Aviation Museum, 3515 E. State Rd, Port Clinton, OH 43452. Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH assisted the family with arrangements.
