William R. Grolle

William Grolle (Bill), age 71, recently passed away peacefully in his Perrysburg home. Born in Toledo, Ohio on October 31, 1951, he was the son of Bob and Betty Grolle. He graduated from Perrysburg High School and Bowling Green State University, where he majored in accounting and later earned his C.P.A. Bill was employed as a Corporate Tax Accountant with several energy companies in Ohio and Florida. He was an avid reader and passionate sports fan, his favorite being tennis. Cheering for the Buckeyes, Tigers, and Red Wings was an enjoyable pastime. Bill was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sisters Lin (Dan) Pilz and Judy Leybourn, nephews Bryce (Nicki) Pilz, Kyle Pilz, Steve Leybourn, and Jay (Erin) Leybourn, great nephews and nieces, Aunties Joyce (Jim) Ryder, Katherine Hess, and Judy Hess, and many cousins. Private services are being planned. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Bill may be made to the American Heart Association and the Wood County Humane Society.
