William Henry Gertz

William H. Gertz, 79, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on February 28, 2025, at the Merit House in Toledo, Ohio, where he had been receiving care. He was born on December 1, 1945, in Toledo to Harold A. and Edna R. Gertz.

William is survived by his cousins, Bob Gertz and Julie Kuhn, both of Toledo.

A man of simple joys, William had a passion for fishing, collecting baseball cards, and hunting for records at local sales. He enjoyed the quiet satisfaction of tinkering with vacuums, always finding ways to bring them back to life. An avid sports fan, he closely followed Ohio State Football, the Detroit Red Wings, and the Detroit Tigers.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no formal services. William’s loved ones take comfort in their memories of him and the moments he shared with them over the years.
