William Ervin Leonhardt

Bill Leonhardt, of Southwestern Toledo departed this life on August 4, 2011 at the age of 82. He will be remembered for his kind heart, love of animals, compassion for the oppressed, wonderful garden, and a consistent love of his family sustained throughout his illness. He attended Libbey High School, graduating in 1947 and he played and enjoyed sports participating in them his entire life. Formerly employed at Allied Chemical in Toledo retiring in 1978, Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Elsie D. Leonhardt in 1975; loving wife, Delphine C. Leonhardt in 1997; father, Ervin F. Leonhardt in 1998; and son, Donald J. Leonhardt in 2005. Surviving him are many happy memories shared by his son, Robert S. Leonhardt; sister, Joyce Harvey Takacs; daughter-in-law, Nancy Donald Leonhardt; grandchildren, Amy Richie Flinchum, and Aaron Jeanie Leonhardt; niece, Robin Scott Libbe; nephew, Bill Takacs; and uncle, George Leonhardt. Graveside services will be conducted at Toledo Memorial Park on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 11:30 AM. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E.
