Jesus opened his arms and welcomed Bill Dollison to his eternal home on August 19, 2008, at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo surrounded by his loved ones. Bill was born on June 21, 1944, in Robinwood Hospital, Toledo to Thomas F. and Esther Crable Dollison. He graduated from Springfield High School and was employed at the Ford Maumee Stamping Plant before retiring July 2006. Bill and his wife resided in Sylvania Township. Bill loved the Lord with all his heart, and his best friend was his pastor, Rev. Don Reynolds. He was a member of FBC, Sylvania for 24 years and had a servants attitude in every area he served in. Bill loved the Word of God and enjoyed reading the Bible for hours at a time. One of his favorite chapters was 1 Corinthians 13, the Love Chapter. Bill was devoted to his family and friends, and he loved taking them fishing on his boat, the Praise the Lord. He also liked sports and enjoyed cheering for all Ohio teams. His favorite role was Papa Bill. as he adored spending time with his grandchildren and spoiling them with joy and love. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Sue; children, Wendy Jake Siefert, Robin Jeff Haney, Douglas Laurel Dollison, William Rob Annie Dollison, Jr., Kimberly Korte, Michelle Robert Scanlon; 19 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Thomas Bud Dollison; and sisters, Wanda Brogan, Bonnie Harve Lewis, and Sharon Chick Charlie Provo. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Patricia Nuhfer and infant sister, Donna. Friends may visit the family on Thursday from 1 to 4 and 5 to 8 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. West of Corey Rd. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Sylvania. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests contributions be made in the memory of Bill Dollison to the Gideons Memorial Bible Program P.O. Box 8615 Toledo, OH 43623. The family wishes to thank Dr. Rashid, Dr. Muler, Dr. Smith and Staff, and the staff of Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo.
