William M. Digby, Sr.

William M. Digby Sr., age 86, passed away Monday May 16, 2016 at his home. The son of Milton and Bernice, he was born April 5, 1930 in Toledo, OH. He was a graduate of Whitmer High School. He served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army. Bill enjoyed a long career as a carpenter and was a member of the Carpenters Union. He enjoyed golf, yard work and at one time hunting and fishing. He was always happy to engage in a conversation on any subject with his family. Spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren was his favorite enjoyment. He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce; children, William M. (Sandi)Digby Jr., Cynthia L. Johnson, Michael S. Digby, Douglas E. (Debbie) Digby; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brother Richard (Judy) Digby. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ethel; son, Randal S. Digby; sister, Irene Swindle; brother; James Digby and his parents. Friends may visit the family on Monday May 23, 2016 from 4-8 PM at Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. (West of Corey Rd). Funeral service and interment will be private.
