William Dean Corrello, 82, passed from this life into Gods arms on October 14, 2013 surrounded by his loving wife and daughters at NW Ohio Hospice. Bill was born on February 3, 1931, to Irene and Clarence Corrello, who predeceased him. He also survived his four brothers; Jim, Chuck, John and Ronnie, along with his baby sister, Marilyn. Bill was a graduate of the 1949 class of DeVilbiss High School and graduated from the University of Toledo, where he had a prominent football career and many good memories with his fellow classmates. Following graduation, he entered the U.S. army and served during the Korean War. Upon returning home, he began his 30 year career as a pharmaceutical sales rep with a leading company. He was an active member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church, serving on Counsel; the building committee and call committee. Bill loved watching football, especially the Ohio State Buckeyes. He was a loyal and devoted fan to college football. His deep devotion to God; his family; and his love for football, along with his amazing sense of humor is what carried him through and gave him strength when dealing with Macular Degeneration, Scleritis, and his battle with Cancer. One of Bills great missions was helping others to find a life of sobriety. He was a sponsor, in AA, to countless men in the Toledo area and they are grateful for his dedication and support. His family will be forever proud of his strength and grace. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara, who he was married to for 49 years, and his daughters Lisa and Jamie. Also surviving are special son-in-laws Neal and Dave. The lights of his life are his many grandchildren; Katie, Jenna, Brady, Lindsey, Steven, Rachel, Aaron, Jonathan, Daniel, Connor and Jacob. His death leaves a palpable void in his family, which is relieved in the knowledge that he is in the arms of God, watching over us. There will be a private burial, with a Memorial Service for family and friends on Saturday October 19, 2013 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, 112 W. Wayne Maumee, Ohio at 11:00 a.m. Family will greet guests beginning at 10:00 until service time. No flowers, please. Memorial contributions are suggested for Hospice of NW Ohio; Cherry Street Mission; or St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Maumee. Arrangements by Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home. Online Condolences may be shared with the family at walkerfuneralhomes.com.
