William Bryan Cole

October 13, 1949 — January 9, 2015

William Bryan Bill Cole, 65, of Holland, died suddenly on Friday, January 9, 2015.  Bill was born October 13, 1949 in Jackson, MI to the late Bruce and Betty (Scheiffler) Cole and graduated from Parkside High School in 1967.  He was a veteran of the United States Army. An extremely hard worker, Bill was a Network Engineer at Dana Corporation, devoting as many hours as needed to be of service to his company and clients.  Bill was a talented cook and was known for his pies and peanut butter cookies.  He also enjoyed fishing, reading and was an avid Star Wars and Star Trek fan.  Bill loved to laugh and had a terrific sense of humor.  He found his greatest enjoyment in spending time with his family, especially his wife, children and grandchildren.  Bill will be lovingly remembered for his kind and selfless nature, always placing the needs of others above his own. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of nearly 45 years, Paula J. (Hand) Cole; daughters, Angela (Andy) Myers and Julie (Jeff) Payette; beloved grandchildren, Caty and Josh Payette and Ava Myers; brother, Dennis (Kathy) Cole; and sister, Patricia (Tom) Taylor. Visitation will be held from 1:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 13, 2015 in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) concluded with services to celebrate Bills life at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
