William Billy H. Brown, 91 of Curtice, Ohio and formerly of Sylvania, Ohio, died Wednesday March 8, 2017 at the Genoa Retirement Village, Genoa, Ohio. He was born in Sylvania, Ohio on March 10, 1925 to Robert and Lillian (Corman) Brown. He married Phyllis A. Buck, in Sylvania, Ohio, and she preceded her in death in 2002 Billy was a professional golfer and a member of the PGA for many years. As a young man he played in many area tournaments. Most golfers will remember Billy and his wife Phyllis for operating the Chippewa Golf Course in Curtice, Ohio for many years, and for a short time, the Oak Harbor Golf Course. As golf pro he helped many aspiring golfers hone their game. He and Phyllis enjoyed traveling during the winter months and in later years they resided in Palm Beach Florida. Billy is survived by his son, William Bill Brown, daughter, Linda (Gary) Miller, grandchildren, Nina, Dana (RJ) Willey, Mandi (Bill) Sparks, Mark (Chrissy) Miller, and great-grandchildren, Maxwell Flynn, Madison St. Marie, Jake Sparks, Jessica Sparks, Kylie Miller and Kinleigh Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers, Bob, Art, Eddie, Walt, Elmer and Billys twin brother, Willard, and sister, Leora. There will be no services for Billy but he will be buried next to his wife Phyllis at the Ravine Cemetery in Sylvania at a later date. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory of Genoa Ohio are assisting the family with arrangements.
