William Brewer, Sr.

Bill Brewer, Sr., age 69, of Monclova passed away peacefully on Monday, January 23, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. Bill was born in Perryville, Missouri on July 14, 1942 to Wallace & Iris (Rayoum) Brewer. On July 17, 1976 he married Rita Glynn Null in Perryville, Missouri. Bill and his wife ran their own business, Brewer Tree Service for over 40 years. During his spare time, Bill enjoyed pitching horse shoes and playing shuffle board, many times with his loving wife as a partner. He also loved to listen to music especially Blue Grass and Old Country Music. He enjoyed mushroom hunting and canning his own vegetables from his garden. An avid bowler, he once received a watch and 2 rings for bowling games of 300 and 299. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Surviving are his loving wife of 35 years, Rita; children, LeAnn (Norman) Zavela; Kenneth L. Null; Sheri Hinz; Bonnie Ostrander; Annette Harper; Melissa Koch, William Brewer, Jr.; Tammi Hotop; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Gerald; LeRoy “Topper”; Wanda; Sandy; and Gary as well as his loyal and faithful canine companion, Zoe. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Donald; Everett & Roy Lee; sister, Anna Mae Moen; as well as his grandson, Jeffery James Hoag Jr. Family and friends will be received in the Neville Funeral Home, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland (419-865-8879) on Wednesday from 2-9:00 pm where funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 11:00 am.
