William Cody Blank

William Cody Blank, 49, of Maumee, Ohio died on Sunday September 2, 2012 at St. Lukes Hospital. Cody was born on November 9, 1962 in Mountain View, California to Norman and Sharon Wolfe Blank. He worked in the food service department at the Toledo County Club, and was a member of the Maumee United Methodist Church. Cody was a veteran of the United States Navy, and also was a member of American Legion Post 320. He was active in the Maumee City Schools where he was a member of the Chain Gang for 26 years, and a recipient of the Chamber of Commerce Bridge River Award. Cody has always been active in the Cub Scout and Boy Scouts, where he was currently Assistant Scout Master of Boy Scout Troop 199 in Maumee. Cody is survived by his mother, Sharon, brother, Chad Oxana Blank, uncle, Tom Linda Wolfe, aunt, Delores Blank, 3 nieces, 2 nephews, and many cousins that call him Uncle Cody. He was preceded in death by his father and grandmother. A Gathering will be held from 1:00- 2:00 p.m. on Saturday September 22, 2012 at the Maumee United Methodist Church with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
