December 8, 1952, in Toledo, Ohio, to William C. and Helen M. Biglow of Booth St.
Bill was the salt of the earth, with a colorful personality and a wonderful sense of
humor. Known for his practical jokes, he loved making people laugh and keeping those
around him on their toes. His playful spirit and memorable personality brought joy to
the lives of those who knew him.
Bill was a 1971 Graduate of Woodward High School, and after graduating was drafted
into the United States Army, where he served in West Germany as a radio relay and

including how he and his friends would take trains across Europe and race
motorcycles. He was honorably discharged in 1974.
Following his military service, he worked alongside his father on the railroad with the
Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Union, for Conrail, building and maintaining
essential railroad tracks, bridges, welding, and fixing train derailments. In 1996 Bill
joined the Toledo Fire Department where he spent 19 years serving his community as a
firefighter and paramedic.
Bill loved spending time outdoors, especially hiking and camping in Michigan's Upper
Peninsula and at Hocking Hills. His appreciation for nature also showed in his
enjoyment of landscaping and gardening. He had a passion for classic cars,
motorcycles, enjoyed going to concerts and listening to anything rock and roll. He
loved working with his hands, building something from nothing, and had a passion for
football, basketball, and any type of motorsport.
Bill shared many years with his longtime friend, Cindi Shepard. He is survived by Cindi;
his children, Nicole Biglow, Austin Biglow, Melissa Marksch, Lawrence Biglow, and
Lillian Biglow; several grandchildren; and other loving family members and friends. He
was preceded in death by his parents, brother Richard, sister Marda, and his
beloved Dogs.
