William W. Baker

William W. Baker age 92 of Toledo passed away Thursday evening July 8, 2010 in Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan. He was born December 4, 1917 in Toledo to Elmer and Sophie Baker. A graduate of Libbey High School he obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toledo. Bill was also a First Lieutenant in the Army Air Corp serving in World War II. He was an independent insurance agent for over 30 years in the Toledo area and during this time was also a lobbyist for AARP. Bill was a member of the Elks and enjoyed shuffleboard, dancing, performing magic and telling jokes. Preceded in death by his wife Helen Baker and son Barry Baker, he is survived by his daughter Bonnie Bill Quillen; grandchildren Heather Quillen, Brandon Tara Baker, and Corey Clay Bissett ; and great grandchildren Kody and Hayley Baker and Camryn and Chase Bissett.
